In order to improve the energy efficiency of pneumatic systems, this paper
presents an algorithm for the development and implementation of an energy
efficient pneumatic control system with energy recovery of compressed air.
Two different ways of forming closed pneumatic circuits that reuse already
used compressed air are presented. Compared to traditional pneumatic
control, significant energy savings are achieved.
